Yes. I have been absent for a while. For that, I apologize. I have been doing our newsletter off and on for years. This time, off was longer than I intended. Sometimes business got in the way. Other times it was life. Every time I was off though, I would get an email asking about it. People wanted to know, “where are my recipes?!”. So the question is now, why start again? It’s getting back to why I started in the first place. My love for food. I love talking about food, and I love celebrating it. Feast in a Basket was founded on the idea of celebration. For over 15 years, that's what we’ve been doing. I hope that you enjoy my little "rantings" and anecdotes. We will be adding new topics including health, nutrition, and Feast Food Facts. Meyer Lemon Butter Sauce

February Recipe: Meyer Lemon Butter Sauce

4 tablespoons of butter - 1/2 stick
1/2 cup of Meyer lemon juice
Zest of 1 Meyer lemon
1 garlic clove grated
Salt and pepper to taste

Add 1 tablespoon of butter to pan. Add garlic and stir. Add remaining butter and stir. Once butter is melted, add juice and zest. Add salt and pepper. Turn heat on low and simmer for about 5 minutes. Drizzle over seafood, such as salmon or scallops.
